WEDNESDAY 2nd July
Barrowby Sedgebrook 7.8 miles.
Tony led the walk and left this report. At 10.00 at the start of our walk, it started to rain (can't remember the last time we had a wet walk) quite heavily. Rain gear on _ luckily it only lasted for about 3o mins. SUN out again and the wet disappeared. Nine of us walked downhill to Sedgebrook where we had a drinks stop. carrying on to Sewstern Lane we had a lunch break on Woolsthorpe Middle Lock. A long slow uphill climb back to Barrowby, gave us great views of the surrounding area.

Wheelstones and Back Tor Loop from Strines 8.9 miles.
David led this circular walk across moorland and the wonderful Derwent edge in the Peak District National Park. It was on the boundary between Yorkshire and Derbyshire, with splendid views over Ladybower and Derwent reservoirs. The walk included visits to the gritstone outcrops of Whinstone Lee Tor, Wheelstones and Back Tor. Back Tor being the highest point at 526 metres The paths were well marked and also paved on many parts of the route. The walk started and finished at the Strines Inn.

WEDNESDAY 9th July
Collingham Langford and Holme 7 miles
Twenty four of us set off from the edge of Collingham for a delightful walk across fields and along the Trent. We started at St John the Baptist, Collingham, passed by St Bartholomew's in Langford and had a chance to visit St Giles in Holme, which remains much as it was in the time of John Barton, whose fine tomb can be see here. We headed back via the RSPB site at Langford Lowfields where we had lunch.
Thanks to Paul and Rosemary, whose first time leading this was, for leading such an interesting walk and to the company, which as always was excellent.
